Description

Mint green Iro Muji brocade Kimono. Elegant Japanese Iro Muji kimono in solid mint green brocade, featuring a refined and understated style. The fabric is delicately woven with traditional Kikkō geometric motifs and subtle floral patterns, visible depending on the light. The overall look feels soft and calming, making it ideal for ceremonies, tea practice, or a refined collection piece. The kimono is in good overall condition, with discreet stain visible on one sleeve, and lining. Being a vintage/used piece, it may show some stains or defects.

A kimono without patterns and in a solid color is often called an “Iromuji.” The term “iro” means color, and “muji” in this context can be interpreted as “plain” or “without pattern.” An Iromuji is typically used for semi-formal occasions; its elegant simplicity serves to highlight accessories such as the obi (the wide belt) and jewelry. This type of kimono emphasizes the texture and quality of the fabric, as well as the way it drapes and wraps around the body.

However, once the order exceeds 20 CAD, GST/HST is applied to the entire declared value, even though customs duties often remain nil for these products.

Although the exemption threshold is 1,000 AUD, it is important to note that GST (Goods and Services Tax, equivalent to 10%) applies to all imports from Japan, regardless of the declared value.

For orders exceeding 1,000 AUD, in addition to GST, customs duties (generally around 5% depending on the type of product) may be applied during clearance.

United Kingdom (UK)

In the United Kingdom, the customs exemption threshold is set at 135 GBP. However, thanks to the UK‑Japan CEPA, most customs duties on our products made in Japan are waived.

Thus, even for orders exceeding 135 GBP, our Japanese products are not subject to customs duties. However, VAT (generally 20%) and carrier fees are still applicable upon importation.

Your order is prepared within 2 business days following the receipt of your payment and handed over to the carrier you selected at the time of purchase. You will receive a shipping confirmation email to track your parcel. We offer several delivery options to meet your needs.

Return Policy – Kimonos & Accessories

If your order has not yet been shipped, we can cancel it and issue a full refund.

For kimonos, returns are only accepted if the product received does not match the one ordered. Returns for reasons such as a sizing issue, a color difference compared to the photos, or simply a change of mind will not be considered. We encourage you to carefully read the product description, where all the features are detailed.

Although we carefully inspect each kimono, it may show slight imperfections due to its nature as a pre-owned product, but it will not have any tears. Any notable imperfections are mentioned in the product listing. If no defect is indicated, it means that any imperfection is minimal and does not detract from the quality of the product.
