Orange Chirimen Nagoya Obi with floral motifs. Lovely Japanese Nagoya Obi in coral orange Chirimen fabric. Decorated with hanamaru 花丸 (floral circle) motifs delicately painted in bright shades of red, purple, gold, and green. Chrysanthemum flowers and geometric patterns add a traditional and elegant touch. Perfect to bring a colorful and refined accent to a light kimono. Good overall condition, soft and well-preserved fabric. Being a vintage/ used piece, it may have some stains or defects.

The Nagoya Obi is a more practical and shorter variant of the traditional Japanese obi. Often used for everyday wear, it is recognizable by its unique semi-folded shape, which makes it easier to wear. Originally made in the city of Nagoya, it has become an essential accessory for kimonos.

Brocades, for example, are delicate and intricate fabrics that require special care when cleaning. It is recommended, if you can, to have them professionally dry cleaned to avoid damage to the fragile woven threads. This is the best way to clean these fabrics.

Europe (European Union)

We have integrated the IOSS system (Import One-Stop Shop) to simplify your European orders:

Orders ≤ 150€ (excluding shipping): VAT is collected directly during your order. No customs duty, no carrier handling fees, no surprises at delivery.

Orders > 150€: Thanks to the EU–Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, our products made in Japan benefit from total exemption from customs duties. Only VAT and carrier handling fees apply at delivery.

Canada

For Canada, the customs exemption threshold is set at 20 CAD. Thanks to the free trade agreement between Canada and Japan, our Japanese products are generally exempt from customs duties even if the value exceeds this threshold. However, once the order exceeds 20 CAD, GST/HST is applied to the entire declared value, even though customs duties often remain nil for these products.

Australia

Although the exemption threshold is 1,000 AUD, it is important to note that GST (Goods and Services Tax, equivalent to 10%) applies to all imports from Japan, regardless of the declared value.

For orders exceeding 1,000 AUD, in addition to GST, customs duties (generally around 5% depending on the type of product) may be applied during clearance.

United Kingdom (UK)

In the United Kingdom, the customs exemption threshold is set at 135 GBP. However, thanks to the UK‑Japan CEPA, most customs duties on our products made in Japan are waived.

Thus, even for orders exceeding 135 GBP, our Japanese products are not subject to customs duties. However, VAT (generally 20%) and carrier fees are still applicable upon importation.

We ship your parcels worldwide from Japan. If you do not see your country listed when entering your delivery address, please feel free to contact us so we can work together to find the best option.

Your order is prepared within 2 business days following the receipt of your payment and handed over to the carrier you selected at the time of purchase. You will receive a shipping confirmation email to track your parcel. We offer several delivery options to meet your needs.

Return Policy – Kimonos & Accessories

If your order has not yet been shipped, we can cancel it and issue a full refund.

For kimonos, returns are only accepted if the product received does not match the one ordered. Returns for reasons such as a sizing issue, a color difference compared to the photos, or simply a change of mind will not be considered. We encourage you to carefully read the product description, where all the features are detailed.

Although we carefully inspect each kimono, it may show slight imperfections due to its nature as a pre-owned product, but it will not have any tears. Any notable imperfections are mentioned in the product listing. If no defect is indicated, it means that any imperfection is minimal and does not detract from the quality of the product.
