Golden Sakura Fukuro Obi. Rare and magnificent Fukuro obi woven in golden jacquard, decorated with large Sakura motifs filled with small pink, blue, white, and lilac flowers on an elegant square-patterned background. The contrast between the luminous gold, deep black, and colorful outlines gives this obi belt a very refined and original style. The scattered petals and sparkling details bring movement and a rich visual presence to the whole design. The other side is also woven in black brocade with Sakura motifs, allowing this obi to be used on both sides depending on the style you want. This beautiful Japanese textile is ideal to pair with a formal Kimono, for collection, or for decoration. Obi in good overall condition. Being a vintage/ used piece, it may have some stains or defects.

A Fukuro Obi is a lighter form of obi, a traditional Japanese belt worn with a kimono. It is typically used on formal occasions. Only a portion of the Fukuro Obi is fully embroidered, making it less heavy and easier to wear than the Maru Obi, the most formal obi. The Fukuro Obi is known for its delicate and varied designs, often adorned with patterns of sophisticated embroidery.

Europe (European Union)

We have integrated the IOSS system (Import One-Stop Shop) to simplify your European orders:

Orders ≤ 150€ (excluding shipping): VAT is collected directly during your order. No customs duty, no carrier handling fees, no surprises at delivery.

Orders > 150€: Thanks to the EU–Japan Economic Partnership Agreement, our products made in Japan benefit from total exemption from customs duties. Only VAT and carrier handling fees apply at delivery.

Canada

For Canada, the customs exemption threshold is set at 20 CAD. Thanks to the free trade agreement between Canada and Japan, our Japanese products are generally exempt from customs duties even if the value exceeds this threshold. However, once the order exceeds 20 CAD, GST/HST is applied to the entire declared value, even though customs duties often remain nil for these products.

Australia

Although the exemption threshold is 1,000 AUD, it is important to note that GST (Goods and Services Tax, equivalent to 10%) applies to all imports from Japan, regardless of the declared value.

For orders exceeding 1,000 AUD, in addition to GST, customs duties (generally around 5% depending on the type of product) may be applied during clearance.

United Kingdom (UK)

In the United Kingdom, the customs exemption threshold is set at 135 GBP. However, thanks to the UK‑Japan CEPA, most customs duties on our products made in Japan are waived.

Thus, even for orders exceeding 135 GBP, our Japanese products are not subject to customs duties. However, VAT (generally 20%) and carrier fees are still applicable upon importation.

Return Policy – Kimonos & Accessories

If your order has not yet been shipped, we can cancel it and issue a full refund.

For kimonos, returns are only accepted if the product received does not match the one ordered. Returns for reasons such as a sizing issue, a color difference compared to the photos, or simply a change of mind will not be considered. We encourage you to carefully read the product description, where all the features are detailed.

Although we carefully inspect each kimono, it may show slight imperfections due to its nature as a pre-owned product, but it will not have any tears. Any notable imperfections are mentioned in the product listing. If no defect is indicated, it means that any imperfection is minimal and does not detract from the quality of the product.
