Peach Ō-Furisode with golden carts. This lovely Ō-Furisode comes in a gentle peach tone. It is decorated with traditional ox carts (gosho-guruma) beneath golden pine trees and elegant flowers. The motifs are finely detailed with gold and silver accents that catch the light beautifully. A gradient from light peach to deep burgundy enhances the richness of the design. The interior is lined in white with a subtle floral pattern. A few very light stains are present, but the overall condition remains excellent. Being a vintage/used piece, it may show some stains or defects. Unique piece.
The Furisode Kimono is a type of Japanese kimono that is typically worn by unmarried women on special occasions such as wedding ceremonies, Coming of Age Day (Seijin Shiki), or New Year celebrations. It is considered the most formal and elegant among different kimono styles.
The Furisode is distinguished by its long, swinging sleeves, which can measure up to 125 centimeters in length. These long sleeves are often decorated with colorful and complex motifs, such as flowers, birds, or traditional Japanese patterns. The rest of the kimono is also richly decorated with similar patterns.
The Furisode is a symbol of youth and femininity in Japan. It is traditionally worn by young unmarried women to mark a significant stage in their life.
